Christian Counseling Philosophy

  • The Program seeks to reach out and to assist those who can't afford mentaal halth care in  the community

  • Counseling services are available FREE of charge

  • The counseling services are available to home-bound individuals

  • Counseling which is Christ-centered

  • Counseling and healing that are derived from an ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ

  • Counseling that stresses the importance of active prayer

  • Counseling based on Scriptural directives about life and living

  • Clients need to be self-motivated

  • Clients can benefit from prayer partners within the church

  • Outside reading often used to speed up the healing process

  • Many difficulties can be handled within 4-6 counseling visits

 

Counseling Expectations

Many counseling issues can be addressed in 3-6 sessions, although more serious matters may require extensive counseling or may be given a referal.

 

Prayer Partners

Upon request, counseling clients can have members of Pilgrim praying for them in ways that invoke the power of God for healing, and yet, retain anonymity.
